The Chord HDMI Silver Plus 1.3 is extremely well built, delivers a clean picture transfer with excellent sound, colour and contrast. Overall the performance is superb when compared to other HDMI cables. I can understand why it was awarded 'Best HDMI Cable' in the What Hi-fi Awards 2007.
Highly recommended.

| I purchased a Chord HDMI cable and found that the colours displayed were more vibrant than using my old cable (INOX). Overall the picture looked cleaner. The cable is fairly stiff so you do need some room available to fit it. The plugs are sturdy and a nice tight fit the cable is directional and easy to identify because the plugs are coloured differently. Recommended! |

M Yousaf, London, 17/02/08 An Excellent product with a solid build, sparkling colours and superb contrast, giving an excellent result, especially if you are looking for a pure lossless and noiseless signal from your source to your AV device.
I am using several of these with a sony PS3, Xbox360 and a SkyHD box connected to an Optoma HD81 Projector and for sound I have routed some of these cables to a Pioneer LX amp. In my experience being an AV enthusiast, I found routing the sound through these HDMI cables be better then an optical cable.
And to top this, the price from Synergy AV was the cheapest and best on the web with excellent delivery speeds,

Rishi, Hounslow, 05/02/08 I purchased the Chord HDMI 1.3 Silver Plus cable with confidence as it was highly praised by the AV press, and was listed at a very competitive price by Synergy AV. I have the Chord HDMI connected between my Playstation 3 and Pioneer PDP-428XD plasma TV. I wanted a high quality cable for watching dvd's, HD blu-ray films, playing HD games and viewing digital photo's.
As this is the only HDMI cable that I have owned, I cannot draw comparison to other cables. However my experience of the Chord 1.3 Silver Plus has been very positive. When watching dvd and HD blu-ray films, the picture is stable, sharp, and free from flicker or noise. The colour accuracy via this cable is great; bright reds appear red (not orangy-red) and aren't overblown, blacks are truly deep (not dark grey) and detailed, while skin-tones look pleasingly natural. Grayscale (various shades of grey from black to white) is also well conveyed, giving images a full-bodied three dimensional feel.
Switching to PS3 blu-ray games makes for a fantastic visual experience; the Chord HDMI seemingly allows a full spectrum of vivid colour to pour through, and conveys fast-moving scenes without a hint of blur. The depth of field to the images is also impressive.
Any negatives? If an alternative lower priced cable can put in this kind of performance, then maybe the price? Otherwise this cable seemingly does what a perfect cable should, which is to allow your system to show it's potential without adding or taking away from its performance. M Lai Shan Leung, Hong Kong, 12/02/08 I purchased the Chord Cable off Synergy. They got excellent customer service and the cable was sent promptly after I ordered it off their website in about a week by air mail to Hong Kong.
When I changed my Kimber Cable "Space and Time" with the Chord Cable, I found greater detail especailly in the strings concerto. I could hear the vibration off the cello. The sound filed is deeper and wider and when I put on the John Williams Guitar cd, it sounds great with live feel.
I used Professional Monitor Company OB1 loudspeakers with Acurus D-150 integrated amplifier and a Arcam 9 CD player with Audioquest Midnight bi-wire and of course, Chord cables.
I would not hesitate to recommend the cable to anyone with a moderate budget. It beats a lot of other cables I used before, a bit on par though with Nordost Blue Heaven.

Having ordered and received an excellent Chord HDMI 1.3 Silver Plus cable, it arrived quickly. No real big deal.
However, I recommended Synergy AV to a friend who also ordered a cable as mine. Although it arrived in great time also,
it proved to be faulty. The response from Synergy AV was great. Not only was he assured how rare this was, the replacement
arrived by return, along with an apology and confirmation of the defect. It's when things go wrong a company should be evaluated,
more so than when they don't. 10/10 here
